I have to do my research, but he played a minor role on 'Swamp Thing', mainly as the main henchman of the primary villain. I rememebr him best for being Kolinar Koltrass on Emperor Battle for DUne, though.

He played the role of Bruno in Swamp Thing. Was also in Naked Gun, Blacula, No Way Out, Action Jackson, WKRP in Cincinnatti, Greatest American Hero and several others.

Nick Worth was a friend of mine. I'm just learning tonight that he died 3 years ago. So sorry.

When I got divorced, I moved to a funky apartment building in Studio City, Los Angeles. I had a tiny apartment and 4 cats! The apartment building was several stories tall and surounded our pool where all would meet. Nick was always out there on the weekends, after church, of course.

He lived upstairs and next door to the love of his life, Sweetie (never knew her real name). Nick and Sweetie would have dinner together each night in her apartment and watch t.v. He became a good friend to me in my time of need.

As I say, I had this tiny one room apartment and the cats. Nick would ask to come over to visit the kitties - he loved animals. He would come in and he was quite the imposing figure, very large! He would lay face down on my made-up bed and beckon to the cats, "Oh kitties, if only I could go sleepy-nighty with you!" They loved him! They would come and let him pet them.

One time I needed to go out of town and asked if Nick would take care of my cats. I would pay him. He said ok, but later got hesistant. What if he were called away to do a part? Plus he never had animals, he was nervous, so we just let it go. But I was touched at his concern and honesty.

I remember when he got the part for the t.v. movie with Richard Crenna - "The Rape of Richard Beck,"which got several awards as I remember. I ran into him in the lobby. He was so excited. "Nance, I have to leave tomorrow for Seattle! I have a big part in a made-for-tv movie." And he had the script in his hand and was studying, studying.

Another memory of Nick - our apartment complex had car ports tucked underneath which was where I parked my car right underneath my apartment. I had a window that looked out over the area. One Saturday, I was up and cooking breakfast, taking care of cats, etc., and heard someone's voice outside, so I looked out. There was Nick, all by himself, making his morning rounds. The neighbor building had an fenced in area where one of the tenants kept their dog. Nick had gone to the store and had some kind of bag of treats, potatoe chips? or corn chips?, and was talking to the dog and giving him a treat! So sweet. He had no idea anyone was observing.

I always thought that his name was a stage name - his license plate on his very sensible blue sedan read something like "NICKLSWORTH". It always tickled me, because I remember when we were small that you could go to the candy store and ask for a "nickel's worth" of candy.

There's more I could say, but will leave it at this. Nick, I miss you and wish you were still here.
