Untitled[edit]

Not sure why my addition of a link to the full list of 19th C. winners merited removal--there's no other source available, and the 19th c. list (1806-1899) is notably thinner than the 20th C. list.... It's an authoritative list.... on a topic of some interest to reader of the article, presumably....

Where are the winners 2001–2004?

Move to Newdigate Prize[edit]

The proper name of the prize has capital letters for both words (cf the Turner Prize) so I am moving the article accordingly.--ukexpat (talk) 01:51, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like I cannot move it because Newdigate Prize is a redirect page. I will ask an admin for advice/help.--ukexpat (talk) 01:55, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have moved it. PrimeHunter (talk) 21:57, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Jay?[edit]

For 1965 apparently, for a poem called Fear. Fairly sure this is either wrong or linked to the wrong PJ (Peter Jay), who denied having netted a Newdigate when I asked him... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaguarjaguar (talkcontribs) 23:42, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[1] says "1965. Fear. Peter Jay". I haven't found other information than this name. PrimeHunter (talk) 01:39, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've discovered - it's another Peter Jay, without an article as present, a poet not an economist...maybe just take away the square brackets for now? Or add (poet) as a red link? Jaguarjaguar (talk) 16:10, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see you redlinked Peter Jay (poet). That's OK. I have piped it with [[Peter Jay (poet)|Peter Jay]] to display Peter Jay without visible " (poet)".[2] —Preceding unsigned comment added by PrimeHunter (talkcontribs) 16:29, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Error on the date founded[edit]

I would like a confirmation regarding when the Newdigate Prize was founded.

Was it 1805 or 1806 ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.141.23.242 (talk) 19:16, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
