Bridge Type - Continuous Three-span Steel Arch Truss or Cantilever Truss[edit]

I do not beleive this bridge is a cantilever truss. To be a cantilever (and not a continuous truss), there should be a zero-moment connection in the span. Please provide a reference that shows that this is a cantilever. - SCgatorFan (talk) 01:03, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think your picture is better. It's higher resolution and it shows the skyline of Newark in the background. The current picture doesn't show anything recognizable in the background and is low res. I say change it. 138.16.42.247 (talk) 01:44, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

More Similar to the Delaware River Turnpike Bridge than Francis S. Key[edit]

This article says that the Newark Bay Turnpike Bridge "is similar in length and design to the Francis Scott Key Bridge at Baltimore's Outer Harbor." However, I think it would be more appropriate to compare it with the Delaware River – Turnpike Toll Bridge. Aside from different lengths, the two Turnpike bridges look identical, whereas the F. S. Key bridge is easily distinguishable. I recommend we remove the reference to the F.S. Key bridge, since the comparison is a stretch compared with the Delaware River Turnpike Bridge. 138.16.42.247 (talk) 01:40, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
