Geometry[edit]

How large are the handles? How thick? How wide? How high? What material(s) are they made of?
And - more important - how far apart? Since of course this does not show at all in the pictures. After doing some research I can at least put in a sentence about the handles being on opposite sides of the Parade avenue.
On other pictures I can see that the handles are curving towards each other. This does not show in the pictures which are in the article now. Maybe they should be replaced with pictures from which a first time viewer can get a better impression of what it looks like in the real.

"Mau tena kiwa ..."[edit]

Well, that's a nice line, and fits with the imagery of the basket, and all, but it needs some background: Is this an inscription on the monument? Did the artists who designed the monument think it up? Is it a well known quote from some politician? Is it a traditional saying? Is its origin Maori or Aboriginal or what? ...? --BjKa (talk) 09:43, 26 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
