Merger proposal[edit]

The result of this discussion was to not merge.

I recommend merging this article with Hong Kong Broadband Network. This company was acquired by HKBN in 2016 and has since been renamed as HKBN Enterprise Solutions, one of the subsidiary of HKBN Limited.[1][2]. I found this article not notable enough and have not enough information.

  • Oppose, the historical content of New World Telecommunications should under the same namespace. The new content under HKBN Enterprise Solutions can be placed to Hong Kong Broadband Network, but no need to merge the two articles in order to reflect the fact that they were two unrelated companies in the past. @Matthew hk: Thanks for your prompt response. I really appreciate your new edits on the historical content of the company to expand that section. The amount of content in this article is now a lot better. If there are no other further new discussion in the next few days, I will withdraw this suggestion. Redirect target[edit]

Seem there is a namesake company New World Telecom, New World Telecom Inc. that was located in Canada, and was keep on recreated by the affiliate of the company (also under namespace New world telecom, New world telecom inc.). However, New World Telecom was the trading name of New World Telecommunications, seem it is legit to redirect to this article. Matthew_hk tc 17:42, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
