Entire article disputed.[edit]

Disputed template addition. Columbia and Princeton Universities are longstanding full-time members of the Ivy League. Universities can be associate members of conferences in certain sports, but they cannot be full-time members of multiple conferences. The sparse amount of references is grossly inadequate to support what is currently stated in this article. Have serious doubts about whether this article can continue to exist on Wikipedia unless it is satisfactorily rectified. The Ink Daddy! (talk) 04:55, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

All points taken. But it should be noted that sports-reference.com has a "New Jersey-New York 7 Conference" existing for three seasons between 1976 and 1979; see https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/conferences/njny7/. I cannot find anything else about it. I thought that the non-Ivy League schools listed were independents at the time. Perhaps it was a short-lived unofficial grouping of schools, like the Philadelphia "Big Five"? Mdnavman (talk) 19:44, 31 March 2021 (UTC)mdnavman[reply]
