I added the cleanup tag because this article basicly reads like a PR release. The alternative was to nominate it for deletion as a vanity page.

I also find the text quite normal - if our friend of the original comment can help by giving us a non-destructive example of what he means purhaps we can try to work his thinking into what we are writing. Sources?

I think this page needs a tag for lacking source information - there is no documentation about the alleged healing of his daughter on the page. (Personally, i'm all for believing it, but if it's unsubstantiated then it needs to go.) Paulgear (talk) 08:34, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

CProg

Discography

I just found out that Neal Morse was on a CD by a band called the 'Wade Brown Trio'. I don't have any information on it yet, so I haven't added it to the discography. I believe the members of the Trio are also members of Neal's church. While I am on the topic, there is a bootleg called 'Neal Morse Plays Pink Floyd' from 2003. I'm not sure if we want to add bootlegs here as bootlegs are rarely mentioned on wikipedia. I believe it was a Erik Norlander & Mark McCrite project for a company where the a guitarist can add their own guitar bits (kinda like karaoke for guitarists) that Neal Morse sings on. Other bootlegs I have include a 2003 Testimony bootleg from Rijssen Holland, 2005 bootleg @ Ede The Netherlands 02/02/05, and Live @ Metuchen. I also have two Christmas tracks from 2004 that Neal Morse put on his website and the singles also from the website. Chiok 22:17, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Personally I wouldn't have thought that these are notable enough to have them included on this encyclopedia. If we were talking about the alternative recordings or bootlegs of artist like the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd etc then yes the best known should be mentioned, and I think are. But not Neal's. His first solo Album?

Performers of Christian Music?

Genres

I think Progressive metal should be mentioned - anyone agree? Some of his output is certainly befitting of prog metal - most of 'Sola Scriptura' for example, but also a lot of '?', 'One' and 'Momentum', and whichever other albums I've forgotten to mention.

Granted, most of his music is prog rock - not dissimilar to Genesis, just a bit heavier - but when you've got heavily-distorted chugging riffs and shredding a-la Dream Theater, there's no question in my mind that it's well into metal territory. And there's more than enough of Neal's music that falls into that category, IMO. Definitely deserves to be one of the mentioned genres.
