Acting Solicitor General[edit]

This comment is applicable here and on the Solicitor General of the United States page. Kagan has stepped aside in her duties as Solicitor General, but still, as of today's date, the OSG official site says that Kagan is the Solicitor General. Certainly, Katyal is the acting Solicitor General, but should he be listed in the line of succession of Solicitors General, or if Kagan's nomination is not successful and she resumes the office?--Enos733 (talk) 06:16, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Work needed[edit]

The article's lede reads like a pr piece (probably because it is, judging by the number of unattributed edits) and does not mention his primary activity, megafirm partner. By contrast, the "career" section is a mess. While this netbook attempts to download windows updates, I'm going to try to equalize the disparity, but screen size may prevent that.Jweaver28 (talk) 16:25, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Below is an IP User's deletion with an ES of just "not fair representation of position"; is this justified?

Katyal also spoke highly of President Trump's nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.^[1] In multiple tweets that were cited by Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in favor of Kavanaugh's confirmation,^[2] Katyal praised Kavanaugh's "credentials [and] hardworking nature,"^[3] and described his "mentoring and guidance" of female law clerks as "a model for all of us in the legal profession."^[4] Katyal has also described Kavanaugh as "very gracious"^[5] and "incredibly likable."^[6] “It’s very hard for anyone who has worked with him, appeared before him, to frankly say a bad word about him,” Katyal observed during a July 2018 panel on Kavanaugh's nomination sponsored by The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think-tank.^[7]
