reorganization question[edit]

I'd like to reorganize this article to use table format implemented in many other NRHP lists, and just now all other Oregon county lists indexed by List of RHPs in OR. This county has 147 listings and the article has been organized already with sections for towns within the county.

I wonder, is it okay to replace this by one big table, sortable by towns? As in this draft:National Register of Historic Places listings in Jackson County, Oregon/Temp.

Or, is it preferable to edit that draft table into separate tables by town, or for each of the larger towns plus one "All Other" table? These could be included in the sections in the existing article, and/or some could be split out.

I think i'd prefer to go with the one big table format, for convenience and for readability for those who don't know exactly which town a given place is in, but if anyone wants separate town tables we could do that. doncram (talk) 16:48, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The first draft page shows 147 entries in the table, and its page file size is 51,866 bytes, which is not too large in my view. That is before editing to incorporate photos, pipelinks, and useful other content from the old list version which is included below the table. It is always possible to split larger towns out of the article later, after more material is added. doncram (talk) 16:57, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Seeing no immediate objections, and because the table could be split out into separate tables for each town, I am just going ahead to implement the change. doncram (talk) 19:31, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
