Characters[edit]

Not all characters would be here, itachi, kisame, and other people Wont be released anytime, this game will have Gaara in all forms.

what proof do you have that every character mentioned on your list is a playable character and not just a support or a picture of a character that they have on the site? because i've not seen shikamaru or kiba actually fighting in any trailer yet, the only thing shikamaru has been confirmed as is a support. seeing as you list him as playable then that must mean you have proof that he's playable, so where is it?

Itachi, Kisame, Kimimaro,Third Hokage,Tsunade and Kankuro are in the game. Akatsuki.sousui (talk) 19:09, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why doesn't Kimmimaro have his family name on the list? He is a Kaguya which is made obvious throughout the japanese version of the show and he and Orochimaru refers to him as Kimmimaro Kaguya. If taking his family name off is standard then why not take Itachi's off? We know he is an Uchiha but why does his name family name stay on the list? Also its pissing me off seeing the thing constantly updated with Kaguya then it being removed. Just leave it as Kaguya then the history section will look less hectic.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:29, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because he is only ever referred to as "Kimimaro". "Kimimaro Kaguya" is just a popular fan assumption of his full name. ~SnapperTo 03:31, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Its not an assumption it is his name. Have you watched the Japanese version? It states him as Kaguya several times and refers to him as the last of the Kaguya clan in the episodes dealing with his youth. Its just weird since the name is canon and not a fabrication of the fanbase, maybe it is for North American and European versions, but over here it is Kaguya.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:29, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Have you read the manga? The thing the anime is based on? If you haven't, he's never called "Kimimaro Kaguya" in it. One does not need to have a family's last name to be part of the family. ~SnapperTo 18:12, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also in the anime or the video games he is never called Kimimaro Kaguya.Tintor2 (talk) 18:14, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Now are we talking translated manga or original Japanese manga? Tintor2 they do refer to him as Kaguya in the anime japanese version, not sure about the english dub though. If its a case of mistranslation then meh its just laziness on their part, but I don't want to start a flame war here snapper2, since it seems like your getting angry about this.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:29, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
He's just "Kimimaro" in both versions of the manga. Example. Additionally, he is only "Kimimaro" in GNT4 (the only Naruto game I own). I have never seen the anime, so maybe Kaguya is indeed given as his name. For the purposes of this article, however, just leave it as Kimimaro. ~SnapperTo 20:03, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok fair enough, like I said I didn't want to piss you off or make anyone upset just that it was odd to see others with their names and not his. Is the example pic from your own collectors guide? Those are tough to get apparently outside of Japan.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:29, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's one of many scans I tracked down on google a while back and keep handy for situations like this. ~SnapperTo 03:36, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, you do know that the info there states he is the last of the Kaguya clan and uses only Kimimaro as he has no care for the name anymore because of the way he was treated by his clan. Those books are pretty good though for discussion purposes though. By the way unsigned snapper2 is right on the fact that in the manga he never calls himself Kaguya but in the anime and databooks is referred to as the last of the Kaguya clan.--ThadiusCole (talk) 09:27, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I know, like I said the anime which is also considered canon does say he is a Kaguya and that his clan name missing from the list under characters seemed like a simple mistake. Anyway its prolly something outside of the article and more for a forum debate really.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:29, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why does it bother you since that line of discussion ended at the end of september, and you posting here now is redundant. Also sign in so we know who is telling us to behave.--ThadiusCole (talk) 11:57, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Link Spam[edit]

Placement of an official site on the product page does not constitute link spam. Hokage's Room, the official NAMCO BANDAI Games community for NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja Storm is relevant to both article and product. If there is disagreement, then let's discuss. THe Last 5 characters in NUNS[edit]

There are only 5 characters unknown in the game. The rest are either prooved not in the game, Hasn't appeared yet or is confirmed. Those 5 characters are probably the last ones or they could od waht CoNR2 did. Put characters in there that weren't in any other game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.170.205.72 (talk) 16:52, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We're not putting any characters on that list until they're proven to be in the game by reliable sources. NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 17:56, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

oh no you don't want to put non-confermed characters in the game but you put the 3rd hokage even though he hasn't been seen in the game yet only on the site? Also lets not forget that you'll put awakenings that haven't been proven yet in the game boy will your faces be red when the game comes out and you are so freakin wrong about everything when that happens i'll be back just to rub it in your faces. so you could either edit that bullcrap out right now or you can look like an idiote later it's your choice but i'll be back here every time i get a chance to continue to bitch until you a) take the bullcrap of this page and put possible characters in the title of the character section or b) give me some god honest proof that those awakenings are 100% true.

I didn't put in the Third Hokage or any of the transformations on the page, but after double-checking all the sources, you're right, there's no confirmation that any of that will be in the game, so they've been removed. Happy? NeoChaosX (talk, edits) 16:48, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The last 6 is undoubtibly the sound 5 and itachi but it has not been confermened yet ) : ......,Grimmjow E6 (talk) 05:31, 2 August 2008 (UTC).[reply]

But Really, you can't have a Kisame without an Itachi. What are the chances of Itachi not being in the game if Kisame is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.170.205.72 (talk) 16:18, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm betting on Kankurou, Dosu, Kabuto, Asuma, and Kurenai. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.139.105.10 (talk) 19:24, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah i LOVE DOSU and KIMMIMARO but fuck the creator dont care about themGrimmjow E6 (talk) 20:16, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well it looks like all of them have been revealed now so I guess other characters are either going to appear as supports or DLC ones for the future. I think IGN said there are numerous others that are support characters, but in the same preview the guy referred to the universe as the DBZ one so he might be talking shit anyway.

Why did this get it's own page?[edit]

Shouldn't this be part of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Series? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.167.42.125 (talk) 14:48, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because it plays nothing like the previous series titles and will likely be a new set for the PS3.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:31, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

awakening mode[edit]

Does anyone know a link where it says that it exists?--Megaman en m (talk) 16:57, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Play the demo! Admeister200x —Preceding undated comment was added at 07:36, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Awakening mode is on the demo for both Naruto and Kakashi, although Naruto has the far better version with him using the power of the nine tails while Kakashi switches to Sharingan. When Naruto awakens he gains new moves and a different super move (or whatever they are called) while Kakashi gains stat buffs to make him stronger. I imagine this will be the subject of debate after the game comes out if any are too overpowered in VS mode or something like that, no fighting game is perfect though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.5.254.138 (talk) 20:00, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

a buch of new awakenings were introduced in the newest trailer at least 8 character's awakenings are known now. i don't now how to put in a referance but if someone knows how to they should add it so that everyone knows about the new awakenings. also kimimaro's tranformation was shown in a video from the leipzig game convention it was a curse seal/mark 2 transformation. so if anyone can referance these video's that'd be great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.53.103.225 (talk) 06:29, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

does the guy(s) that made this page want awakenings next to the characters anymore because i've looked at the history and some people have been putting awakenings with links to them but then someone just reverts it back to normal. like when you go to the palyable character part and hit edit it says, "don't add awakenings without a link" but now i don't know if they want it there or not. is there a way to contact them to ask them my question bewcause if they do want it and if youtube counts as a link source then i've got some good evidence of a couple. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.53.103.225 (talk) 06:38, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Awakenings are game guide material, and thus are not desirable in the article. Were they to be included that would legitimize the notion of adding jutsu and stages as well. ~SnapperTo 23:02, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
okay then the page shouldn't have "do not add awakenings without a link" it should just say don't add awakenings, that way no one will go to the trouble of adding any awakening modes at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.53.103.225 (talk) 05:05, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well the problem is when you add an awakening mode and even have a link, others then think its open to all kinds of mad speculation and start adding stuff no one knows is in the game or not, just because it is in the show. Common sense would suggest that yes most transformations would be in, but this is a game and developers sometimes take a different route and then people get pissed because its not what they read etc. etc. For the time being until the character page is either complete or near enough done on the official site, transformations should be left off to avoid any spam.

support characters[edit]

Should we create a section for confirmed support characters, as well? Akatsuki.sousui (talk) 19:09, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

maybe a support only section if what rumours about the support characters are true. if so then the support only characters seem to be asuma, kurenai, anko, 1st hokage, 2nd hokage, sakon/ukon, jirobo, tayuya, kidomaru, and shizune. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.53.103.225 (talk) 06:41, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen the pictures myself, on the official website (due to some sort of glitch). Akatsuki.sousui (talk) 04:34, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Any chance you could screen cap them so we could all see? If you could glitch it again obviously. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.5.254.138 (talk) 13:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Check this link from a gamespot forum post. It links to imageshack but someone else might have gotten the glitch, but it shows some of the characters not on the official site now. http://img225.imageshack.us/my.php?image=webglitchgo4.jpg

Thats the link, just copy and paste. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.5.254.138 (talk) 13:47, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but that isn't a reliable source.--Megaman en m (talk) 17:55, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently it was a glitch that revealed some of the characters, which has since been fixed. But they seem pretty genuine, people on the gamespot forum were mentioning that all characters where selectable but had glitched and come up with Naruto's justu etc., but did show the image of the character. Obviously since it showed Naruto's info it said playable and support for all characters so thats no reliable, but the images are.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:32, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just watched the new trailer from the TGS show, and think I saw most of the support characters in action. Going from memory and who I saw first it looked like the 1st and 2nd Hokage. Then the sound 4, with 2 helping Kimimaro and then another shot showing the other 2 using their abilties (such as Tayuya's flute creatures and Sakon/Ukons' gates. After that I noticed Shizune who is seen being hit by one of Kabuto's supports while fighting Tsunade. So far thats 7 out of 10. Kiba and Hinata can be considered playable in my opinion since it shows them both performing ultimate jutsus. Ino is to so its back to a guessing game on who the remaining supports are.--ThadiusCole (talk) 11:06, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the article they say there are going to be 10 support characters but why are there only five of them cos i thought there should be seven confirmed since that asuma kurenai and anko wern't in the tgs trailer so... can someone just explain to me???!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.207.213.75 (talk) 21:08, 10 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the offical site there are 35 characters in all, so if 25 are playable then the remainder must be the supports. As far as I have seen, the supports are: The sound 4 (although the TGS trailer doesn't show them you see Sakon and Tayuyas' abilities after Kidomaru and Jirobo are seen) 1st Hokage 2nd Hokage Shizune

So I guess there is a strong possibility that Kurenai and Asuma are supports and either Anko or Iruka, but until we see them in game it could be any character shown in part 1 that isn't playable or already shown as a support.--ThadiusCole (talk) 00:28, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for explaining!!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.209.156.99 (talk) 12:53, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One more question how come Zabuza and Haku are not in the game i mean they are supposed to be in the story mode right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.209.156.99 (talk) 13:10, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose they wanted to go for characters that make a few appearances, or can be shown in the later story arc when everyone has been introduced properly. Saying that, cyberconnect 2 have stated that downloadable content will be made for the game and that characters may well be part of that, along with new missions. So you could see a pack that adds Haku and Zabuza along with a few missions where you fight them to unlock them. I personally hope that the supports are made playable at a later date since they are there already.--ThadiusCole (talk) 20:57, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So you mean that both Zabuza and Haku could be playable or support if we download the downloadable content cool i was hoping that both of them would be in the game cos if they were not in the game that would be just weird. By the way does the Bridge stage come out with them by stage i mean the place were you choose wether you fight in it or not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.207.213.78 (talk) 17:05, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well what I mean to say is that DLC will be in the game sometime after launch, and that Zabuza and Haku maybe part of that but nothing is official. That was more like what I would imagine if they decided to put him in thats all. It would be cool to see the bridge stage etc., but like I said nothing is official on what the DLC will be. Also Snapper2 I noticed the Tayuya and Sakon names vanish from the supports list, they are there I can give you a time reference from the TGS 2008 trailer for them if you want proof of them being in it. You see the flute creatures from Tayuya and Sakon/Ukons' gates used to defend Orochimaru.--ThadiusCole (talk) 11:23, 14 October 2008 (UTC)--ThadiusCole (talk) 11:23, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, i think the creator should have said for info during the tgs interview. The fact that there are 10 support characters was not heard during the interview. even when they asked him to say what the DLC contains he said he cannot say any more details, that is just sick cos he could have said that Zabuza and Haku MAY be part of the DLC. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.62.236 (talk) 15:24, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well they probably want to get the game out first and see what reaction they get from the gaming press and the like before seriously looking into DLC. Still we don't yet know all of the current supports so there is still a chance. A small one, but one none the less.--ThadiusCole (talk) 13:01, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The support characters that were not in the trailer are asuma kurenai and anko, so i suppose that those 3 will be part of the DLC along with zabuza and haku since that they were not in the tgs trailer that is the only explanation right? I wish that the creator could have said more info about the support characters cos the only thing he said was that "there are support characters with you in battle and they can support you if you press L1 or L2" see he never mentioned anything, i know that he wants it to be a blast to see the 10 support characters all in action but it is just not fair for all of us to wait for that and wait to find out what the DLC contains mabybe the DLC contains Dosu and his teamates maybe it had Orochimaru in discuise while fighting sasuke, you never know what it contains maybe that's why it is going to be released after the game is released. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.207.213.101 ([[User talk:90.207.213.101|talk]]) 16:03, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is it confirmed though that Asuma, Kurenai and Anko are the remaining supports? If thats true then that would make sense and be cool to see. DLC by its very nature in the gaming world is something that is always released after the main game, and that could take the form of any feature, such as stages, music, costumes etc. Zabuza and Haku although important to the Anime and Manga plotlines may not be in the game simply because it doesn't fit the brief for NUNS. I am pretty sure that Zabuza and Haku are not going to be in NUNS at all, and that DLC MAY put them in at a later date, but again I stress that no details have been released regarding what the DLC will be if anything. You mentioned not knowing what supports do other than attack using R1 and L1. Well before a fight they can be set to do a few things. Sasuke for example can be set to use his fire style jutsu and throw 3 fire balls at the opponent (this can be seen in the playable demo) while another trailer shows Sasuke attacking with hand to hand techniques or Ninjutsu. As far as I know all supports playable or non playable can be customised to a certain degree to what you want them to do in game. Hope that support stuff helps. And again Zabuza and Haku are sadly not confirmed or even rumoured to be in the game at all, sorry if I confused you with earlier posts.--ThadiusCole (talk) 23:53, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also I am not changing your paragraph, someone else is since I looked at the history and they are changing your spelling of Asuma etc. Don't delete me post since it wasn't me who did it, it says Sinebot, which has changed my sig for some reason. I think someone has tried to clean up the grammar and spelling on the recent chat. Again on DLC, yes it is annoying when you want to know so badly what the developer has in store for future updates to a product, but they want that stuff to be a surprise for us when they finally reveal what they been working on, while we have been playing. It is confirmed that there will be 10 support only characters in NUNS and that the remaining as yet unseen 3 are probably going to be popular picks such as Asuma, Kurenai and Anko but until we see them nothing it official. Its a shame really that the official site has not updated for a long time now, the last character update being Sasuke. If they just added some new ones there that would help somewhat. Sadly DLC sometimes is a pipe dream that never comes to fruition because a game does poorly or they decide to make another game entirely. I worked as a QA tester for Evolution studios recently and alot of ideas get thrown around that sound really cool, but never get on paper let alone being announced to the gaming public. The NUNS DLC could be anything like I said, characters would be the most popular option for players, but that could be impossible if the game is hard coded, or that adding an entire repetoire of moves, animations and voice overs would be too expensive, and simply adding trophies and a few new costumes are the limit of the design and code team. Obviously I would love to see as many new characters as possible make it into the game, and be playable but you sometimes have to be realistic in the regard to the games industry.--ThadiusCole (talk) 13:18, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know, the website has not been updated for a while i check it every day to check if any new characters were added and surprisingly no again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.207.213.116 (talk) 15:06, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lol they updated today after all that with Rock Lee, sadly no video of his ultimate jutsu.--ThadiusCole (talk) 20:57, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the video was not available becuase they wanted to put both lee and guy there so that we do not get bored and maybe after a few days the videos and maybe even few characters will be released becuase there are almost 2 weeks left till the release dates remembers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.62.228 (talk) 15:25, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone tell me why asuma kurenai and anko appeared on the character list and disappeared again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.62.228 (talk) 19:37, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Simply because no one has seen them in screenshots or videos yet. The trailer from TGS doesn't show them, to check for yourself download the trailer and run it on VLC media player at 0.50 or 0.25 speed to check every frame. I didn't see them so its still a waiting game. Also by saying this I am not saying I edited the page to remove them in case your thinking that :)--ThadiusCole (talk) 02:09, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know when new characters are going to be added to ultimateninjastorm.com cuz guy and lee are there but no new characters they should have put videos too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.62.228 (talk) 16:59, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

With the way things are with official sites, they sometimes leave the information a little bare until after release, which makes no sense when you are trying to find out what the game is all about. I would put money on the official site having an incomplete character section after its release in North America. They are being a little lazy especially when sites like gametrailers have footage of several characters performing ultimate jutsus and other features in the game.--ThadiusCole (talk) 21:54, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've heard that both the first and second hokages are downloadable, why is that??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.62.228 (talk) 16:31, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Check hokages room for the news on that, but if you look at the link I posted in the "1st and 2nd Hokage confusion" discussion page, you will learn that all DLC will be free and its more than likely that the hokage will be made available through that. If you cannot connect to the internet with your PS3, then you have to buy them either from EBGames or another outlet forgotten the name, basically its a promotion to get people to preorder the title and pay more money for something that will be free a month or two later.--ThadiusCole (talk) 20:31, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The other 8 remaining support characters are going to be free DLC check the website for more info. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.62.179 (talk) 22:29, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Release Dates[edit]

hiroshi matsuyama said in a resent interview from leipzig that the game is coming out in november and unless i'm mistaken about this, because i haven't seen any news from cc2 or namco bandai stating that there pushing the game back a month, but i think he was refering to the uk release date because he's in EUROPE whats he going to say the north american release date? NO! because he's in EUROPE doing a game show so how about everyone do a little more fact checking and thinking rather than listening blindly to saiyanisland which obviously employ brain dead interviewers and site managers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.53.103.225 (talk) 04:28, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

i don't know why your going by the namco bandai website they don't update very often and i know for a fact that it's coming out in october because i've pre-ordered it and they told me the date it will be out is october 15. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.53.103.225 (talk) 06:31, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Video game stores aren't a reliable source.--Megaman en m (talk) 15:54, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Online retailers advertise when they think games will be available. They are only ever correct when an official release date has been announced. ~SnapperTo 22:48, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

at least there are maybe 3 sites that have nothing to do with each other that all say october will be when this game is released and seeing as they just released alot of new info in september then i think the october release date seems even more plausible than that a store would lie to me about the release date. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.53.103.225 (talk) 05:35, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dear IP,
Hello! Have you considered the fact that October is in the fall? Both Namco Bandai's website and playstation.com say this game will be released in the fall. I, personally, am more inclined to believe the vague timeframe given by those involved in the game's development than the specific date given by those who aren't. Until October is officialy announced as the release date (either through the NUNS website, a press release, or some promotional video that will inevitably be plastered all over the internet), no amount of deduction,is going to change what the article currently says.
Lovingly yours,
~SnapperTo 18:39, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I read on an IGN UK preview that the release at least for europe is November which is likely considering the timeframe more often than not for europe is after US and Japanese release dates. So I would bet that October for the states and Canada and then November for EU territories. Of course I am hoping for a simultaneous release worldwide or just the same as North America. Also who stripped the Wiki page down to basically nothing, where did all the character info and links go?--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:33, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

apparently the game sites i frequent are now saying the game is coming out in november for american players also so i don't know what to believe anymore. i saw an interview with matsuyama but it was old and they said that the game for americans was to be out in october but with no one besides a few sites saying that the game will be released in october or november i don't think i'll believe what any site says until i hear it from the horses mouth myself. so the fall 2008 thing is probably a good idea but you should also change the EU release date to say the same seeing as matsuyama said october for america and now it's maybe november.

As much as I would like to believe the release date for the UK and continental Europe, is it correct? Can anyone give a link to a source that states the release is Nov 7th? and by that I don't mean linking to a shops site, but something like IGN or Gamespot that has an interview. I have looked and there isn't anything official to say it is, although I really do hope it is correct just want to make sure.--ThadiusCole (talk) 00:02, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The boxart now looks slightly different[edit]

A new version of the box art apparantly has been made, cuz the new one as naruto looking angry rather than...sadistic, for lack of a better word that I know of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.87.69.48 (talk) 23:56, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why does this get its own section?[edit]

Why doesnt it be part of the other ultimate ninja series? I know its currently the most popular naruto right now, but it still doesnt deserve one —Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolman1250 (talkcontribs) 21:33, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The best reason could be because it is an entirely new way of playing the ulimate ninja series. Its the first PS3 version and could be considered a reboot of the franchise for a new generation of consoles.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:33, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable source[edit]

We need to regulate the wiki more since someone noted Kimmimaro and Temari down as unreliable when IGN has videos of them in action complete with ultimate jutsus. I am going to change it so only Ino, Shikamaru and Kiba are unreliable. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.5.254.138 (talk) 18:41, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop listing Temari as unreliable source when she is a playable character in game. Go to IGN and search NUNS and look at the videos, it has one of Kankuro and Temari fighting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.5.254.138 (talk) 00:20, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So use the IGN videos as sources. Fansites such as Saiyanisland.com are considered unreliable sources.Tintor2 (talk) 00:31, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shikamaru and Kiba are shown in a video fighting each other on gamespot.com and youtube.com so there actually in the game as playable. also i agree that using saiyanisland.com is a bad idea seeing as it's a fan site and is not a gaming site that's a little more reliable. not to mention character art isn't really the best thing to go on for who might be in the game even though practically everyone on the playable character list has been seen doing something in a video now except Hinata and Ino. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.53.103.225 (talk) 05:23, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well can someone change the character art link to that of Gamespot or IGN for reliability sake. Since constantly listing them as unreliable is being just as counter-productive.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:33, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Gameplay section[edit]

Should we add more to the gameplay section? I read the small piece there noticed alot of info missing like the fact that characters can have multiple jutsu can be changed by the player. The option to set supports to use different attacks like Sasuke using fire or hand to hand support abilities. Unlocking items from the hidden leaf hub and gaining new missions from talking to NPC's there. DLC for the japanese version at least but possibly for the North American and European versions also. There is probably more but what do you people think? If me or someone adds it and then just clean it up a bit to make it more clear to read after that?--ThadiusCole (talk) 13:35, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I cleaned up the development sections grammar since the english wasn't perfect. I haven't changed the text radically to say different things, just made it simpler to read. Check the history to compare. Also not being offensive to the original poster, its good to have a bit more info on the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ThadiusCole (talkcontribs) 15:12, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Release Date[edit]

Hokage's Room are listing the official release date as November 4th. They're pretty official, so I added it the to the article. I don't know how to edit the refs though. Here's the link to the article: http://www.hokagesroom.com/blog/view/the-hokages-scroll/the-storm-hits-on-november-4th/2008/10/10/ They also have info stating that the First and Second Hokage are preorder bonuses. --- Admeister200x(talk)

Yeah bonuses in the sense of unlocking from the start rather than playing the game to get them. At least the missions will make for a future DLC for those who didn't get the limited/preorder packages. Also I have read that the release is Nov 4 in North America. Europe is penned as Nov 7 but I won't hold my breath.--ThadiusCole (talk) 02:06, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1st and 2nd Hokage confusion[edit]

Ok. 1st and 2nd Hokage will be exclusive from certain stores, which sucks for some people who cannot get it from the select stores. But fear not the future DLC for the missions and characters will be free off the Playstation store (see the G4TV link below) so at least we don't have to pay for characters that are already in the code of the game waiting to be unlocked.--ThadiusCole (talk) 20:01, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Its just the retailers making a deal with NamcoBandai or wahtever deals with the preorder stuff. They aren't gong to remove 2 characters from the game for a preorder deal that woudlnt make sense. Nah these "deals" are just a way of bumping there own preorder sales with a gimmick for morons who think they are getting characters no one else has.--RockLee1980 (talk) 19:06, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Hokage are DLC. Those who preorder the game get one of the downloads for free. Those who don't need to pay extra to use the Hokage. It's not a new concept; look at Fable II. If you preordered Fable II you got a free download code for the Fable II Pub Games. If you didn't you had to pay $10 to download it. In a world of micro transactions, developers use such practices to squeeze out some extra revenue from the consumer. Those who preorder the game are saving a small amount of money in the long run. ~SnapperTo 19:29, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And here is the aforementioned link to show you I am not lieing about the DLC being free(note it may load very slowly, so if that is the case search for Ultimate ninja storm DLC free, there should be a forum link on the first page of results) http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/689418/Naruto_Ultimate_Ninja_Storm_Preview.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by ThadiusCole (talkcontribs) 19:45, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ultimate Jutsus[edit]

does anyone have a link or some kind of proof to the whole customize Ultimate Jutsus because the prima player guide has only one jutsu listed for every character besides the ones that transform. i only bring this up because the page says you can customize ultimate jutsus but recent evidence may contradict this. so if anyone has a link or any kind of proof please put it on the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.53.103.225 (talk) 07:45, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could it be a mistake? I know normal jutsu can be changed, but thinking about it I think one of the gametrailer videos from a user may show the character select screen and then after selecting characters it has an option to do with ultimate jutsu's but I might be misremembering there.—ThadiusCole (talk) 01:16, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

after you pick your character the customization menu shows the ultimate jutsu but for some reason the people that have the prima player guide say that there isn't anymore than one jutsu per character except the ones that transform(naruto, sasuke, kimimaro, lee, and guy)they get "two". I was hoping someone would prove them wrong which is why i asked this although maybe when the game comes out we'll know for sure.--162.53.103.225 (talk) 04:41, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

EU Release date[edit]

Atari's latest release schedule says that the game is due to be released on the 20th of November, not the 7th. Admeister200xT —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.240.246.143 (talk) 12:42, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Was announced in 2012"[edit]

Someone can edit that and put "....was announced in 2012 and was released on March 5, 2013" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.15.171.67 (talk) 02:13, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
