Importance[edit]

This is the largest remaining marsh of san francisco bay (technically within the San Pablo Bay). It is also home to numerous rare and endangered species, many of which are endemic to the marsh itself. it has high notability in its role as a major west coast wetlands restoration project; in fact the largest in the SF bay. yes, but its relative place in the region, overall, is low. the rating is only for a relative position against all sfba articles. no one disputes its importance within its own narrower areas. a wikiproject on marshes of california would rate it as high.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 08:54, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
