Tom Nevers?[edit]

Orphaned references in Nantucket Memorial Airport[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Nantucket Memorial Airport's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Naval Auxiliary Air Facility Nantucket be merged into Nantucket Memorial Airport. I think that the content in Naval Auxiliary Air Facility Nantucket can easily be explained in the Nantucket Memorial Airport article, and the airport article is of a reasonable size that the merging will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. Also, the Naval Auxiliary Air Facility article has only one source and may fail the Notability requirement of significant coverage in reliable sources. --Hirolovesswords (talk) 20:31, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Comment A discussion has been started at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history on general standards for military installations, and I believe any move decision on this facility should be delayed until it can be seen if a consensus can be reached there. Les Holm, not Holmes[edit]

Actually it'a James Leslie Holm (my grandfather) but he usually went by Les. Founded the airport at his Nobadeer farm with a Ray Morrison who died not long after in a plane crash at New Bedford. Then Dave Raub joined Les. A few family photos of Les have been handed down to me, I have one of Ray Morrison, a blurry and a clear one of Dave Raub, and a few plane ones. I don't want to make (yet) another account for a web site, don't really know if any of the photos (which I've scanned) would be of use to the article.
