Aquarii[edit]

In the Shatabisha section the link from Aquarii goes to an article about a christian sect that likes water, not the constellation Aquarius. I dont know how to fix this or i would do it myself.

More references?[edit]

This article has a great deal of content, but the citations are miserable. Does anyone have any corroborating sources? Flutterman (talk) 16:16, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agree with the preceding comment. No reference cited for "peculiarities" of these stars. Removing those. Mssnlayam (talk) 20:20, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It says "This article needs attention from an expert in Hinduism or Astrology. (July 2009)." Are you actaully serious about this? I am an expert in both but my experience is that no one really wants expert advice so I am hesitant to add or subtract anything.49.207.53.253 (talk) 19:41, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What is the Point for Names in Malayalam[edit]

Reading the article one reaches the section "Nakshatra names in Malayalam" which I fail to understand. Why are the names not mentioned in other languages ? or why is it here necessary to be mentioned in Malayalam? What's th relevance of mentioning the names in one of the many languages in India. please do edit it.

In a generic sense, why do we need the equivalence of the Nakshatra names in many regional languages? I believe an inter-wiki link is more appropriate. Imagine having 100 columns for 100 languages, if one were to start including all languages... I hope there will be a consensus developed here before the scripts of various languages are removed (I was planning to be WP:BOLD and remove them, but then decided to talk it out here). Nobody opposes. WP:BOLD? Rursus dixit. (mbork3!) 11:23, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Opening an old issue. Rursus , VasuVR There are just 3 name in use traditionally - Devanagiri(which is common in Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi) Tamil & Malayalam. For Tamil & Malayalam, many names are common. It is easier for reader we include Tamil and Malayalam names. Prodigyhk (talk) 02:29, 3 December 2014 (UTC) My error. Seems it already solved and included Nakshatra#Names_in_modern_languages thanks Prodigyhk (talk) 02:31, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Entire content erased from the article.[edit]

The entire contents except for the names were removed by this change:

Undid the changes

Merge[edit]

List of Nakshatras is a stub page that only lists these asterisms after a brief introduction. This page duplicates the material in its entirety. Let's just bring it over here and leave a redirect to the section. (Forking the material over there and not including it here, I think, would be a bad move. It's pretty essential info to anyone wanting to read this page.) — LlywelynII 07:24, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Agree - LlywelynII go ahead with it. Prodigyhk (talk) 02:33, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disagree - Please don't merge, see the articles associated with different languages in each article to know the significance. Needs attention from an expert on the subject if it is decided to merge. - Varmapak 18:41, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
