I propose to merge Naksat cities into Nakhon Si Thammarat Kingdom. "Naksat cities" is a term for the city-states that were (supposedly) subordinate to the Nakhon Si Thammarat Kingdom, according to 16th-century chronicles of Nakhon Si Thammarat. It is however not mentioned in independent sources, which is why some modern historians consider this network to be "wishful thinking" or claims on the side of Nakhon Si Thammarat, rather than evidence of actual control. I do not think that the "Naksat cities" warrant a separate article, as they are rarely mentioned in literature and are only relevant within the context of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Kingdom. In particular, they are not related to Tambralinga, as the Chronicles of Nakhon Si Thammarat were written several centuries later and do not even mention Tambralinga. Thus, a link between the Naksat cities and Tambralinga is sheerly speculative. --RJFF (talk) 10:33, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

I don't have any strong opinion on this and not an expert myself. But does sound like "Naksat cities" is a separate concept by itself, notwithstanding the relevant contestation on its actuality. I'm aware the Malay states regularly rebelled/aided against Siam/Ayutthaya but that's probably a separate discussion. But if the two are merged, Naksat cities page probably deserves its own subsection under the mother article. __earth(Talk) 06:01, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
