Suggest the table be left intact in its pre-change state until such time as all the operators can be ascertained, a half complete table is of little value. Mo7838 (talk) 05:35, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A further reference which may be useful to reconstruct the table at some later stage. [1]

North West Region or North Western Region[edit]

Mo7838 As I am in the process of creating an entry for the North West(ern) region in the new template I noticed that this article refers to North Western Region but the NSW Trainlink website and the timetable now both refer to North West region. I suspect this article should be changed to North West region.Fleet Lists (talk) 06:16, 3 June 2015 (UTC) I think I have resolved what the difference is between the two.Fleet Lists (talk) 08:50, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Brand name or train operator?[edit]

Re this edit, London Overground is primarily a railway network hence the first sentence reflects this. It is also the brand under which the service is operated. LOROL is the contractor that operates services on the network, so quite distinct. Likewise Keolis Downer is the contractor that operates the Yarra Trams network that existed before, and will continue after KD's tenure as operator.

NSW TrainLink is the name under which the legal entity NSW Trains trades,[1] hence that is the name of the article. Yes NSW TrainLink is a brand name, but the article is primarily about the operator and hence the lead should reflect. We could have separate articles for NSW TrainLink the brand, and NSW Trains the operator, but there is probably not sufficient difference to justify. Virgin Trains is the brand name of West Coast Trains Ltd, yet that article doesn't have the confusing lead this article has.

First sentence currently states "NSW TrainLink is an Australian brand...", then the second states "NSW TrainLink services operate throughout New South Wales...". A brand can't operate services. Bottom line, is that the trading and legal names are different is a minor technicality not really notable enough for the lead. 210.18.211.190 (talk) 04:42, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
