I uploaded Image:Zulumusiciansc.1900.jpg, but do not know how to make it an appropriate size for the article. Anyone who can, please do so. Tuf-Kat 04:19, Jan 23, 2004 (UTC)

Done. Image below: Lupo 18:54, 25 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Hmmm... looks like my resized version got lost in some harddisk problems at the Wikipedia servers. Anyway, with the new image markup, special resized versions are no longer necessary. Lupo 15:15, 19 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Lists of musicians merged

There was a list of South African musicians here, and another one at List of South Africans, we dont need both. I have merged those lists and moved them to List of South African musicians.--Ezeu 08:10, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Adding to the Voëlvry Movement

In South Africa, during Apartheid, the Voëlvry Movement added to the rebirth in Afrikaans Music in South Africa. "Voëlvry" meaning free as a bird or outlawed, added to the anti-apartheid movement. Singers like Johannes Kerkorrel helped to shape this movement to be the most successful. Things that I wanted to add were important events that occurred in this movement or even a song that was used in this that can be linked in order to show music during this time. I also was thinking about adding an image that showed what a concert during this movement would look like!

I have found this article to be really helpful to outline the basics of this movement! http://sun025.sun.ac.za/portal/page/portal/Arts/Departemente1/geskiedenis/docs/rocking_the_boat.pdf.

If anyone else has any good sources or images on this movement, let me know! Crasimonsaysalex (talk) 04:07, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

Earlier music

Why does the article only begin in the 1920's? There is a wealth of earlier music to refer to.Royalcourtier (talk) 21:07, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
