Historical

From the article on the archeology of the place i understand placcards went up all over the place, you might want to find out who instigated that placcarding before such an alcoholist as bothwell. It must be more politically then personally motivated. 77.248.56.242 11:57, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kirk o' FieldMurder of Lord Darnley – Despite the current title, the article is entirely about the murder, as are the vast majority of incoming links. The only information given about the church, the nominal subject of the article, is its location. Although this is not a classic WP:COATRACK, an article title should reflect its content, and I propose that this article be moved accordingly. Should more information about the church become available, the resulting redirect can be expanded. Tevildo (talk) 15:05, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Alternative theories[edit]

At one point the article says that alternative theories of the murder have to disregard the evidence of a number of witnesses. Alternative to what? Reading this carefully, I assume that this means alternatives to the view that that Bothwell dunnit, but this could be clearer. Also, this could contradict the statement that the murder is an unsolved mystery. PatGallacher (talk) 21:46, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
