Fruit for further work here[edit]

I think I've gotten a good start on refining this article. There's one aspect that I think is worth pursuing here, and I may get back to it sometime. But in case I don't, this case is interesting for how the national press covered the case. See the time articles and the arkansas quarterly article, for the reflections of the national press on the mountain people as backwards hillbillies, and also on the possible feud that underlay the case in general. Connie Franklin murder case[edit]

Perhaps not, I honestly didn't think about it that way. However the article is about a murder, a faked murder, but murder nevertheless, not so much the trial or the case. There are a number of articles about hoaxes and fakes whose titles do not indicate the falsehood, such as Hitler Diaries, Piltdown Man and Loch Ness Monster. I guess if you wish to move it back, go ahead. I won't contest it, but I like it where it is. This discussion should have been held on the talk page so other's could join in if there was an interest. I'm happy either way, just wasn't sure if there was a rule on this (I'm sure this isn't the only fake-murder to go to trial.) I'm happy to leave it like this if you are. Who is Rogers?[edit]

The section under Connie Franklin Returns is terribly unclear. I noticed the exact same thing - the name Rogers just mysteriously appears all of a sudden. I was thinking "huh??" and looking back to see what I'd missed...In general, the article is written as though everyone is already familiar with the story...Engr105th (talk) 15:33, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, this really needs work. The name Franklin, since this is apparently the guy's original name, should be used throughout to refer to him. Switching to Rogers leaves me with the impression that there were two different guys. 82.112.148.43 (talk) 18:50, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Family relation[edit]

Reuben Harrell is introduced as a witness to the crimes and as the nephew of Coleman Foster. But since Coleman Foster is a cousin of T Ruminer, wouldn't that make Harrel the cousin of Ruminer too?
