According to 1991 census, the municipalities of Dragaš, Štrpce and Novo Brdo had Serb/Slavic Muslim majorities too, like Leposavić, Zvečan and Zubin Potok. See:

PANONIAN (talk) 16:35, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I was wrong about Dragaš, it is new municipality formed from former Gora and Opolje municipalities, and it have Albanian majority. Gora was municipality with Slavic Muslim majority, but this municipality does not exist any more. PANONIAN (talk) 23:38, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If sambody have a argument Im waitting. In another cases you are going to interpret the dokumets (you are out of UN Law) and you dont have argumet, you dont work for Wikipedia but are destroing the Wikipedia image. I know that my english is not so gut, but a desinformation is not gut for Wikipedia and for the peopel in Kosovo. You can have a problem with "Haage". Kosovo-geo-stub[edit]

{{Kosovo-geo-stub}} I dont wont to make War with the serbians representativ payed from Serbian govermant. But I am a Wikipedian and I am maken a Kosovo-geo-stub becose the realyt is tis won.

  1. Kosovo is unter the UN administracion and the liable is saying that Kosovo is a provinc in Balkan. They present Kosovo in UN als such.
  2. The persons who call himself Wikipedian and are maken that the Kosovos citys be presentit alls Serbian citys are wrong and they are working for the Serbian Goverment. Even they intepreta that ...bla, bla and that Kosovo is temporaliy unter the UN.. and they have rigt to say Socailist Autonomus Province of Kosovo is maken together with Serbia and Socailist Autonomus Province of Vojvodina, the Republic of Serbia, but they dont ave rigt to say that Kosovo is a part of Serbia. (For the americans is the exempel: New York state it saying that New York Citi is a part of them, becos the name New York). Even thet, if Kosovo is the Part of Serbia, and is Autonomus part they have rigt to disate for this teritory becose. Way then must stand ther "Autonumus". Newermaen, it is how it is the Serbian Goverment dont let that Hipi Zhdripi work hier in the artikel , they are more and wikipedia is workin in the princep of the "meritocrati" of the quantitet and not the qualitet.

And now I am working to preapre the Wikipedia to be the first how prasent the news after the declareted status of Non Area Kosovo.--Hipi Zhdripi 21:33, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Once Kosovo is recognised internationally as a sovereign area, there will be no objection to a separate Kosovo-geo-stub. Until that time, though, WP:WSS policy is to have no stub types relating to areas not internationally recognised. (hence no Transnistria-geo-stub, Somaliland-geo-stub or NorthCyprus-geo-stub). For that reason, geo-stubs relating to kosovo are marked with SerbiaMontenegro-geo-stub. The two federal regions which make up the country have their stubs in subcategories of this, so the Kosovo stubs are segregated from them while still being listed in the category for the country of which it is still internationally recognised as being part. As to kosovo-geo-stub, the stub type you created was a duplicate of one deletedfor these very reasons affter discussions at WP:SFD several months ago and so has been speedily re-deleted. Please do not re-create it. Grutness...wha? 14:54, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed change: Serbian/Albanian[edit]

As far as I know, there's not a single case (yet) in which the Albanian name represents common English usage for the geography of Kosovo. In Wikipedia this is made clear by the fact that right now all the articles on the municipalities mentioned in this list use the Serbian name as title.

Therefore, it is to reflect common English usage that I propose to modify the order from the alphabetical "Albanian/Serbian" to the common English usage-based "Serbian/Albanian", which would be more intuitive and easier for our readers to follow.

This modified system would have three advantages:

  • It would be consistent too (all "Serbian/Albanian").
  • It would be neutral (for the convention employed won't be an arbitrary one, or editor's preferece for the Serbian name/cause, but the very basic Wikipedia policy of reflecting common English usage).
  • It would comply with the said policy :-) and thus facilitate the template's usage by English-speaking readers (for whom this version of Wikipedia is intended).

Ideally, for consistency, the new system would also be adopted for all similar mentions, including the lists of settlements within the municipalities. However, this can be discussed as a separate issue.

Anyone objects ? Best regards, Evv 00:31, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Modified article (diff.) - Evv 03:52, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the proposed change should be ALBANIAN/SERBIAN because the primary language in the Republic of Kosovo is Albanian! Serbian, Turkish, Gorani, etc., are minority languages!--DataOpen (talk) 12:48, 18 February 2008 (UTC) [reply]

For the purpose of writing in the English Wikipedia, the names used in any language other than English, by the people of Kosovo, Serbia, Egypt or China are irrelevant. Remember that articles are intended to be understood by English speakers. - Consistency with other Wikipedia articles is also important. I have modified the article's order accordingly (diff.). - Regards, Ev (talk) 16:42, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Ev, I do object. Based on the UNMIK regulation number 43, which can be found here: http://www.unmikonline.org/regulations/2000/re2000_43.htm, the order of names should be Albanian and then Serbian! I am performing the necessary changed.--Arbër Let's talk 09:23, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The English Wikipedia is not bound by UNMIK regulations, nor does it follow UNMIK naming conventions; it has its own ones. - Ev (talk) 20:39, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MAP OF KOSOVO[edit]

There is a thick red line, which represents the FORMER borderline of Serbia. It should now be changed to enchain the Republic of Kosovo. Please, perform this change because Kosovo is an independent state, not part of Serbia anymore. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DataOpen (talkcontribs) 12:50, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
