Untitled[edit]

The current article is rather unbalanced, in particular concerning the references. This would need to be fixed. Tpl 13:49, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

I think that Multiscale mathematics should be merged into Multiscale modeling. I have a number of reasons:

  1. There is a big overlap between what these articles should cover
  2. Multiscale mathematics currently has no inline citations.

I think a bullet point list of "primary areas of mathematical and algorithmic development" in Multiscale mathematics could be worked into the body of Multiscale modeling. I think the "See also" and "External links" items can be added to the respective lists in the target article.

The quote from "Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) for Metals" seems to violate copyright[edit]

The article includes a substantial quote (about 6 paragraphs) from the "Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) for Metals" book. By looking at the beginning of the free preview for that book on Amazon, I can see that it seems to be under a restrictive copyright, and nothing indicates compatibility with CC BY-SA 3.0 nor with the GFDL. I suspect that this quote should be significantly shortened or removed altogether, and the gestalt rephrased in our own words. Jahvascriptmaniac (talk) 16:56, 19 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this, and, given that no objections have arisen over the course of the year, will remove this long quote. Guy.genin (talk) 18:08, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
