I moved the following edit back here because of its tone and lack of sources:
- The Mosquito Lagoon, aptly named for its large mosquito population, is considered by many to be the most diverse ecosystems on the planet. It immense population of Redfish, or Red Drum, has also allowed it's nothern most bordering municipality, New Smyrna Beach, to proclaim itself as "Redfish Capitol of the World". The rural regions of Northern Brevard and Southeastern Volusia Counties remain heavily dependant on fishing from the lagoon.

Definitely. Misspelling, unattested and unlikely claims, wordy. It's interesting that one of the commerical Web sites about this Lagoon is very well done and educational. http://www.redfishonfly.com/sightfishing.html I'm going to drop the site a line, and see whether they'd be interested in adding a little content, here.67.161.20.226 (talk) 21:24, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

I have added a great deal of content to this page, Mosquito Lagoon, from my uncopyrighted website and would gladly add images as well. www.CaptKarty.com has pages on seatrout, redfish, dolphins, manatees, recipes, fishing and flyfishing, information gleaned from research as well as from twenty years of fishing in Mosquito Lagoon.
