Mosetse is one of the oldest villages in the area and has served as a centre for all the villages around including Dukwe. Dukwe was then developed for purposes of supporting the refugee camp under the UNHCR.

It was an area predominantly for the Basarwa until cattle farmers among them Mr Mahomed Montshiwa, Mr Brown Nfila (then made chief), Mr Kehitile Madubeko and Ngwato Farmers associated with the Sereste Khama's family. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.33.11.13 (talk) 15:16, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
