Untitled[edit]

Someone needs to put a bit more history into the page, but for now I think it's useful to include a reference to the WYAS page under "History" (it was mentioned in text of article until previous editor "wikified" and removed this, leaving it just as external reference). I've tried to restructure the page helpfully. PamD 07:50, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sport section[edit]

Are the rugby club mentioned at the start of the section and Morley Borough (mentioned at the end) one and the same? - Dudesleeper · Talk 14:30, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Google reveals that they aren't - and that there's a Wiki article about the former! Now linked. PamD 16:18, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Patriotism[edit]

Apparently morley is one of the most patriotic cities in England ((http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7351194.stm)) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.135.58.219 (talk) 22:58, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is there no memorial/statue etc. to Asquith in Morley? I appreciate he may lack the popular appeal of Eric Morecambe, but one would have thought he'd merit at least a bench. KJP1 (talk) 16:46, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As a watcher of this page, it is apparent there is an ongoing dispute over whether or not the Governance section is an appropriate place to include a reference to a speech made by Nick Griffin at Morley Town Hall in 2004. Can I suggest that the issue be properly debated on the article talk page and an attempt made to reach a consensus on the issue, rather than the sterile edit-war of "remove/replace/repeat" which is currently ongoing. In an effort to encourage a different approach to that previously tried, I would suggest that this is not the appropriate place for such a reference, as the issue is quite incidental to the subject of the governance of the town of Morley.KJP1 (talk) 19:14, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, it is totally irrelevant to the governance of Morley. I'm not quite sure why it keeps on being replaced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Csynw (talkcontribs) 16:00, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
