non-english pages[edit]

I want to bring to everyones attention that the non-english pages seem to have (comparatively) extra information on Moray, I am sadly monolingual and am using google translate as a crutch, I'm not sure of the validity of the non-english pages as the sources make little sense to me and the links are broken. Anyway, the main source that was used for at least Spanish and French is one John Earls who in 1989 apparently wrote "Planificación Agrícola Andina" I cannot read through that thing as I cannot read it. Hoping someone else can.

temperature differential[edit]

just wanted to point out that a difference of 15 °C is not the same as a difference of 59 °F. I don't know which one of those is correct, but they can't both be correct. Reverend tel (talk) 23:10, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

(15°C temperature differential likely correct, differential of 15°C is as a difference of 27 °F. I would guess that this differential would only be seen in mid-summer (with no cloud cover), with little to no air movement and with no plant cover in the stepped depression. I would suspect that the addition of plants to the stepped bowl as well as any breeze would likely reduce this temperature differential. Also the humidity in the different environments (steps) would vary as well as the coefficient of evaporation of the water in the soil of the different steps. All the natural elements work together and create different climatic conditions but, what for? to relate with what? why not make these tests in the spot with more realistic factors? Inca Power Place[edit]

Moray (Inca Power Place) was one of the energy centres meant for agricultural experimentation and cosmological studies where the disciple of the sacred path would be instructed in the secrets of the earth and sky. From the Earth, they must have discovered its virtues and carried out experimental combinations to achieve an evolutionary outcome in the art of cultivation as well as in the ingenious usage of diverse thermal and environmental variations, from the base of the terrace up to the surrounding plateau. Appreciative of its beauty, the Inkas merged within this site, both technology and energy in order to preserve the Earth, which supplies and nourishes us by means of ceremonies and hard, productive labour. Moray represents the heart of Pachamana ( the Earth ) . It is made of an arrangement of circles of light to replenish our lives with health and expand the prosperity of its entourage - a Comologist's view.[citation needed]

Timeframe[edit]

It would be helpful to include mention of timeframe in which this ruin is believed to have been created. Clicking through the Inca link indicates that 1438-1533 was the period of the Inca Empire, which would be enough detail for my personal wants.
