including the moody chart[edit]

I believe it would be helpful to include the moody chart in this article however I have yet to find one explicitly released under the GNU license.

I would make one in MATLAB, however that may take some time as I am not very proficient in making pretty graphs yet. If anyone can, could they upload one they have made or found one under the GNU that can be included? powerfool 12:37, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can provide an Octave script (it's similar to Matlab) to compute the chart (solving the nonlinear equation with Newton-Raphson's method) and also to make the plot. But I'm not aware if it is OK to put such a code here. May be one can put it elsewhere, and then put a link here. Mariostorti 16:16, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

moody friction factor[edit]

there is an article under moody friction factor, perhaps it should be redirected/merged into this article?powerfool 12:43, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is a mistake in the first formula of the article. There is an extra "4". The equation as it is now is for the Fanning friction factor, which is four times the Darcy–Weisbach friction factor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.144.52.244 (talk) 17:47, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notation for logarithms[edit]

I think we should use log_10 instead of plainly log. We could use also lg, but I think that log_10 is more explicit. Mariostorti 15:19, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
