Montfort afaik has cityrights, and thus is a city, not a town? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.159.72.252 (talk) 19:13, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Medieval cityright system officially stopped in Napoleontic times with the formation of The Netherlands as kingdom and national state (instead of federative republic). The classic joke is that "The Hague" (300k+ inhabitants) which still has no cityrights, is thus a village. 195.240.215.207 (talk) 12:08, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Castle is called "the Grauwaert" (The Grey one), not Castle Montfort. 195.240.215.207 (talk) 12:08, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
