Homocline[edit]

Monocline is not normally used as a synonym for homocline, although I have seen it occasionally. The step-like geometry fits with every monocline I've ever seen or seen described. Mikenorton (talk) 21:47, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Monoform[edit]

Added 'monoform' after its appearance in a subsidiary map on BGS sheet Sc 45(W) and its appearance in the list at http://www.scribd.com/doc/40373030/Cartographic-Geological-Symbol-Index of BGS geological map annotations. Geopersona (talk) 11:11, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to be mainly a term used in highlands geology, particularly for the 'Tarbert monform' - I couldn't find it in the map symbols list that you linked to however. Mikenorton (talk) 11:29, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
