Copyright problem removed[edit]

Prior content in this article duplicated one or more previously published sources. The material was copied from: http://www.vaziri.it/english/chronology/anni_1924-42.html. Infringing material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:49, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

More copyright problems[edit]

After deciding to locate references for this article, which was previously totally unreferenced, I discovered that much of the content was lifted word for word from an article about the artist published in Aziz (magazine), June, 2015 (see https://www.slideshare.net/azizanzabi/aziz-art-june2015). (The material was added to the article in May, 2015 which is about the same time as the Wikipedia article was published). Rather than delete all this content, I will do my best to rework it so that it is different from the original, and will add the source to the list of references. (If we remove all the potential copyright infringements, there will not be much of an article left, which would be a shame because this is an important artist in Iran's modern art movement, and deserves to have an entry in Wikipedia). Added citations and removed "no citations" tag[edit]

I have added a number of citations to this article, although there is still considerable room for improvement in this area. At least, there are sufficient references to clearly establish the artist's notability, for the time being. I have exhausted books and articles on Google Books and Google Scholar - so now it will require a trip to the library to locate more references, and I hope to do this within the next week or two. I have also paraphrased much of the content and added appropriate references to avoid potential allegations of copyright violations. BronHiggs (talk) 02:00, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
