Hello... since you're new to Wikipedia, you're probably not aware that the project has guidelines about use for promotional purposes. One of the guidelines, WP:EL, prohibits external links unless they specifically benefit the article in question. In the case of the band, the Myspace URL is a promotional link and as such must be removed. (However, I'll leave the band's name for now. Another editor may choose to remove it if there is a question of notability, but we'll see.) No - the term long predates the album, and will outlive it as well. (This is evidenced by the large number of cultural items that either use or reference the idea of "minutes to midnight".) One of the guidelines with respect to how to use redirects is to avoid unnecessary changes based on temporary popularity. This is not to disparage Linkin Park, but merely to reflect the fact that - while in the spotlight now - their album will not have the same popularity a few month down the road. I remember a short film being shown on Channel 4 (UK) with "Minutes To Midnight" in the title. It was set in the future and the characters (two 24 hour convenience store clerks) were discussing how disappointing the "future" was. Anyone know the exact title? Phyte 00:27, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
