Incorrect quote[edit]

When talking about Gutknecht's broken pledge, it is in the article saying "if I ever break this contract, throw me out." In the reference listed, I see no place where Gutknecht says those words. I do, however, see a place where it is listed as a general comment "If we break this contract, throw us out." You can't just change a quote so you can make Congressman Gutknecht look bad and turn the article biased. Also, should we be having our reference come from a highly-liberal website "out to get" the Republicans? No. I think we need to have the reference come from a more reputable source, such as a newspaper or other media organization. Jakeschneider220 16:55, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

DFL vs Democrat[edit]

Minnesota has different political parties from other states. I believe that the Republicans have rejoined the national party, but there is still a separate [Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party] at the state level. Even the federal politicians run and are elected as DFL rather than as Democrats. Mdfst13 (talk) 13:02, 30 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
