Analogue or not?

Is the subject of this article supposed to be the analogue of Minkowski space with a different base field instead of the real numbers or is it supposed to be an entirely different mathematical object which was also defined by Hermann Minkowski? JRSpriggs (talk) 21:02, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

I think the answer is the latter (i.e. entirely different), but, to avoid confusion, the article should state that explicitly since there is a link from a hat-note at Minkowski space to this article. JRSpriggs (talk) 11:36, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
