Article title[edit]

Why specify "Irish" in the title? No other country has (or is likely to have soon) the same title. I propose it be dropped.

Succinctly put. Do you have any objections to dropping the redundant "Irish" from the article title, and if so, would you care to express them? Feel free to use polysyllables.

It hardly takes a great streach of the imagination to interpret what I said above. In repetition of course if we use the term "Ireland" instead of "Irish" then this will only apply from 1938 strictly speaking with the Constitution of Ireland as the former is a narrower term - theirfore any ministers of the Irish Free State or Irish Republic may not be appropriate for such an article (this in itself may not be a bad thing)? In any case it is best to discuss first and invite comment before taking action as this would inevitably be controversial. Still not clear? Djegan 12:34, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

That makes no sense. The Gaeltacht ministry is unique to Ireland. The others are not.
