Sets a precedence - if Mingangkabau nmerchants are so notable - surely all the other groups in Indonesia need articles as well - that means, successful Sundanese, Javanese, Balinese and so on - otherwise this is a sad case of WP:UNDUE ?? SatuSuro 05:15, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Indeed. This seems like a ethno-chauvinistic show-off. Some of the people listed are really not notable. Indeed, if this sets a precedent, it would be a very poor one. --Merbabu (talk) 07:50, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
