If you’re trying to switch out her profile pic because she’s asking on Instagram[edit]

Here’s what you can do:

  1. Take your own damn picture of her with your own camera. Not a picture of her on TV or on your monitor - in person. You own the copyright, you are free to upload the picture to Commons.
  2. upload one of her selfies on Instagram, but here’s the important part: ask her to consent to a free license following the steps at Commons:COM:OTRS. Otherwise, it’ll be deleted because almost everything you find online is copyrighted. She has to allow any kind of use (including commercial use) and modifications (like mustaches, devil horns, mashing up here face with Nic Cage, etc).

Hope this helps. Ytoyoda (talk) 19:26, 16 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've tried stop them, but they keep adding the picture back, and have moved onto another copyrighted picture as well. I don't want to continue reverting and get into edit war territory, and they have also been using an ip to change the picture. I'm just going to leave this alone for now. The current photo has been submitted for OTRS by the subject/photographer, please leave it in place until that has been processed. - rholliday 18:06, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to whoever communicated with Mina to get her (or her people) to go through the OTRS process. Glad we have a free profile pic she’s happy with and we don’t have randos uploading unfree pics. Ytoyoda (talk) 03:23, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That was me. Thanks to you for making it clear what needed to be done to get this resolved to everyone's satisfaction. - rholliday 19:07, 3 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
