Some Recommendations/Fixes[edit]

There are many flaws with this page, starting with the intro paragraph, which states multiple detailed facts, yet lacks any citation. There is also a slight typo in the "sports" section, as there should be an apostrophe when the badminton team is introduced (Miller Place High School Panther's Badminton team). This section also lacks relevant detail, stating that the Panthers lost to Smith Town High School, while there is a both a Smithtown East and a Smithtown West on Long Island. Also, The References/Sources section of this page is extremely out of date. The first source leads to a webpage that is no longer functioning, while the second source was accessed in 2007. The second source is used to give facts on student enrollment, faculty, and student to teacher ratio, which are all obviously out of date. Finally, the article is missing a substantial amount of information under the "sports" section (the only team referenced is the badminton team, while other sports have won various Long Island and even state championships), and there is simply no section for "academics", despite the article stating that Miller Place was the 78th ranked public highschool in the United States (even though this ranking is out of date). The introductory paragraph really should not have sources: it should summarize material that is stated (and sourced) elsewhere int he article. —C.Fred (talk) 03:21, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
