Not an author[edit]

Can someone change the intro. I'm not an author. I'm a cofounder of a business software startup that happened to co-author a book on our early days building the company. Currently says "Mikkel Svane is an author and entrepreneur. He wrote Startupland and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Zendesk, which he cofounded in 2007. Svane was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1971." How about changing it to "Mikkel Svane is the CEO and co-founder of business software company Zendesk. In 2014 he co-authored the book Startupland with Carlye Adler chronicling the early days of Zendesk. Mikkel currently resides in San Francisco with his partner and five kids. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1971". Mikkelsvane (talk) 18:36, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Done (partially) I agree with the characterization as an author, based on having written one book in line with your entrepreneurship career, is a stretch. However, the part about living in SF with your partner and kids is omitted, as we have no reliable source for that. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:53, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense. Thanks. Mikkelsvane (talk) 00:17, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Career update[edit]

Latest Zendesk career update is very old. Can we add that "On June 24, 2022, Zendesk announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an investor group led by leading global investment firms Permira and Hellman & Friedman LLC (“H&F”) in an all-cash transaction that values Zendesk at approximately $10.2 billion".  Done although I used a different (non-primary) source. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:12, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Education[edit]

I don't have a Bachelor's in Economics. I have an A.P. in marketing management from Arhus Kobmandsskole. Source here: https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1463172/000120677420001083/zen3706421-def14a.htm Mikkelsvane (talk) 00:30, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Mikkelsvane: Why did BBC News think you had a degree in economics then? And what is an "A.P."? That abbreviation does not have any relevance to educational degrees in English. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:12, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It's an associate degree. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Associate_degree
It qualifies above a high school diploma but below a bachelor's degree.
In Denmark we call it an Academy Professional (AP) degree when translating to English. 50.208.38.166 (talk) 21:38, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I would appreciate if somebody would change that. The facts are the facts. Regardless of whatever BBC News believes. 50.208.38.166 (talk) 18:20, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
