Missing redirects, disambiguation links, and a naming question[edit]

Why is Mikhail A. Bonch-Bruyevich a redlink?

Why do Mikhail Bonch-Bruevich and Mikhail Bonch-Bruyevich both redirect to a different person not mentioned here? Mikhail Dmitriyevich Bonch-Bruyevich (1870-1956) is clearly a different person from the Alexandrovich here.

That isn't intended to be an exclusive list; other redirects may be appropriate, too.

The creator of this article was in fact well aware of the Bruyevich spelling (see this edit), and therefore should have tried to create the appropriate redirects with that spelling. Obviously that was not done--or maybe it even was, but in any the creator here did not create the appropriate redirects and disambiguation crosslinks (or even separate disambiguation page, but that generally isn't advisable in the case of only two claimants to the page name).

The remaining, unresolved question is which spelling is more appropriate under the naming conventions here on Wikipedia. Gene Nygaard (talk) 20:05, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
