Displacements?[edit]

When I found it, the article said "[e]ngines have usually displacements under 1.0 litres." For added readability, I changed it to "[e]ngines usually have displacements under 1.0 litres." The use of the word "displacements" puzzles me, though. I'm not sure what it means here. I'm not a car aficionado, though, so I may just not understand the concept.GreenGourd 01:17, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Displacement" refer to engine displacement, the total volume of air/fuel mixture an engine can draw in during one complete engine cycle. --Love Krittaya (talk) 22:26, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
