Several Errors[edit]

1. The commission was formed by a constitutional amendment adopted in 1940 that amended the 1908 Michigan constitution and took effect on January 1, 1941. https://cdm16110.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p16110coll7/id/104547, https://ballotpedia.org/Michigan_Civil_Service,_Proposal_2_(1940), https://www.michigan.gov/mdcs/-/media/Project/Websites/mdcs/SPDOC/2018/RulesBookSPDOC_1808a.pdf (page v).

2. Thomas M. Wardrop's term as chair ended in 2014. Jan Winters and Matthew Fedorchuk are also no longer in their roles. The current chair is Jase Bolger and John Gnodtke and Jonathan Patterson are the state personnel director and deputy director, respectively. https://www.michigan.gov/mdcs/commission

3. The position of SPD was established in 1941 at the same time as the commission. https://cdm16110.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p16110coll7/id/104547, https://ballotpedia.org/Michigan_Civil_Service,_Proposal_2_(1940).

4. The MCSC is located within the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. The DMB is now the DTMB. https://www.michigan.gov/formergovernors/recent/granholm/executive-orders/2009/executive-order-no--2009-55

4. History is not grammatical. Perhaps:

Initially created through an amendment to Michigan's 1908 Constitution, the commission continued under the next ratified Constitution of 1963. Under Executive Order No.2007 - 30, the Department of Civil Service was abolished with the Board of Ethics, State Officers Compensation Commission and Civil Service Commission transferred to theDepartment of Management and Budget (now the Department of Technology, Management and Budget). 136.181.195.7 (talk) 18:18, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
