Her CSM date was 28 October 2002, reported in this 2004 article in The Guardian, Kosovo Force news magazine. Binksternet (talk) 14:04, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wars / Battles?[edit]

The entry that CSM Jones served active duty tours during Kosovo and Desert Shield / Storm is a little misleading as it implies that she actually went to war - as the side-bar biography section lists wartime service in those three campaigns. Judging by her photo, she did not serve "in" Kosovo or Desert Shield / Storm as she does not have any campaign ribbons indicating wartime service. I think it would be more accurate to say that she served active duty tours stateside in support of those wars. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.106.185.70 (talk) 23:10, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm... This article in The Guardian from 2004 in Kosovo has Jones being interviewed by a reporter stationed in Kosovo, talking about how she helped Reservists in Kosovo by listening to their problems and going to bat for them with the brass. Maybe she didn't fire a gun there, but she was in Kosovo doing her CSM job. The Operations Shield and Storm bit was one I got from Ebony where it says "Her active duty assignments included operations Desert Shield/Storm." I would like this Wiki article about her to be factual, but I have no reference that spells out what she was doing during those ops, so I take Ebony's word.
