He remains bishop of Wichita until his installation[edit]

What a mess it is now[edit]

Aside from the factual errors in various infoboxes and the tags I have correspondingly applied to this article, the lede paragraph is a mess! The Most Reverend Michael Owen Jackels (born April 13, 1954) was the 10th bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wichita, Kansas and is the Archbishop-designate of the Archdiocese of Dubuque.[1] He was appointed by Pope John Paul II on January 28, 2005, replacing Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted, the current bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix, Arizona. He was ordained to the episcopate at the Church of the Magdalen in Wichita on April 4, 2005. First - we don't use "was" except for dead people. He's not dead. Second - makes it sound like he was appointed to Dubuque by JP II. Third - what is all this trivia doing in the lede? Who cares when and where he was ordained to the episcopate 8 years ago? Put something relevant there. Elizium23 (talk) 23:09, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
