Nationality, not citizenship[edit]

Th Mexican nationality law allows nationality. Only those born in Mexico can be citizens. So I will be changing the words citizenship to nationality Trentc (talk) 01:27, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

93.180.104.144 (talk) 16:40, 5 October 2017 (UTC) In the article Mexican nationality law https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_nationality_law#cite_note-emb-12 there is a reference, the number 12.- RENUNCIA DE LA NACIONALIDAD MEXICANA (POR NACIMIENTO Y POR NATURALIZACIÓN), that takes to the page https://consulmex.sre.gob.mx/sandiego/index.php/doble-nacionalidad/renuncia-de-la-nacionalidad-mexicana That page is wrong, and is not legal what is offering. That is the only Mexican Consulate in the planet that published such thing, and has been reported to Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores for its correction. As the 37th article of the constitution establishes that Mexicans by birth (natural born Mexicans) can never be deprived of their nationality, so there is no way, instance or institution were a Mexican by birth can give up their nationality for any purpose. Please remove or correct that reference because it could cause confusions in countries that require to give up citizenship to obtain theirs. Thank you for your attention, best regards.[reply]
