Image location[edit]

A reader donated a nice picture of the bridge. Normally, when there is an infobox and a single image, the image goes in the info box. However, this is a nice panorama, and I think the effect would be lost if it were crammed into the infobox.

I think it looks better outside the infobox, although I'm indifferent whether it is left justified, centered or in some other location.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 22:38, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Paducah and Illinois Railroad, and Paducah and Louisville Railroad, are not the same[edit]

The link to the Paducah and Illinois Railroad, leads to the Paducah and Louisville Railroad article. These two railroads are not the same. The Paducah and Illinois was created as a company to manage the Metropolis Bridge. It never had any locomotives or rolling stock, and was not a railroad in the usual understanding of the term. It was formed during the time the bridge was constructed.

The Paducah and Louisville is a railroad created in the mid-1980's, from tracks sold off by the Illinois Central. It consist of a mainline from Paducah to Louisville, with several small branch lines along the route. The P and L, may have some trackage rights over the Metropolis Bridge, but to my knowledge there has never been a P and L train that operated across the bridge and into Illinois.Eelb53 (talk) 13:18, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
