If any of you have a chance to check out Matt Cassamassina (of IGN Wii)'s Podcast, he did mention that a delay is possible. Really just rumor, but I'm giving you a head's up in case it does happen.

The order of the Metroid Series goes (at least to my knowledge):

1.) Metroid(original)/Metroid Zero Mission

2.) Metroid Prime(original)/Metroid Prime Pinball

3.) *Demo*/Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt

4.) Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

5.) *E3 Demo*/Metriod Prime 3: Corruption

6.) Metroid 2: Return of Samus

7.) "SUPER METROID" aka Metroid 3

8.) "Metroid Fusion" aka Metroid 4

...and after Metroid Fusion, there was suppost to be a "Metroid Dread", but rumors say it got canceled (not to mention that (to my knowledge) Metroid Dread was also believed to be a rumor itself :-/ )

Does anyone hace a link leading to a site that explicitly says Corruption comes before Return of Samus? Otherwise, it's speculation, and it makes more sense to me that she would become corrupted by Phazon with much more ease if she was part Metroid. That, of course, is also speculation, but it is something to consider if there is no proof for the above timeline
Erm, all the Prime games occur before Return of Samus. That's fact; you need a link to prove otherwise, not the other way around. Also, I don't know what Samus's suit being corrupted with Phazon has to do with her being "part Metroid," when the only thing even close to that would eb the events in Fusion, in which case she doesn't even have the Varia suit anymore which is clearly visible in MP3.--Claude 07:32, 22 May 2006 (UTC)


SPOILER TIME! Metroid is refrenced in Metroid Prime, and thus before it Super Metroid is immediately after Metroid II, because the beginning cutscenes refrence Metroid II Metroid Fusion is last because Samus dosn't have the Varia Suit MP:H is between Prime and Prime 2 because the developer said so, and because the Ship is from Prime, but the suit is from Prime 2 Metroid Prime is before Super Metroid (and Metroid II), because pirate logs refrence the fall of Zebes, and indicate that teams have been sent back to rebuild Zebes and Mother Brain, but do not state they have completed their mission. So the Sequence is:

1)Metroid/Zero Mission

2)Metroid Prime/Pinball

3)Metroid Prime: Hunters/First Hunt

4)Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

5)Metroid II

6)Super Metroid

7)Metroid Fusion

Be careful with editing

Originally, there was information in the article naming the subtitle of this game Corruption, and then somebody decided to take it off, on the grounds that "this isn't the place for name speculation". If you're going to be that stupid, don't mess with the article! It caused me some trouble, and I'd like it if the paranoid editors just stayed away from the articles about video games.

It had no factual evidence to back it up, therefore, it makes perfect sense that an editor removed it since there was no official evidence before today that the game's subtitled was Corruption.--Claude 23:50, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

Metroid Prime 3 "leaked" screens

Should fake screens really be featured in the article when they can't even be verified? Especially considering that this wouldn't be the first "leak" claimed to be from a Retro Studios game for the Revolution? Claude 00:09, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

If the screenshots were released by Nintendo, then it is only fair that they be shown. Besides, in the past, Nintendo has created fake websites that advertise their games without actually stating the games name. It`s almost subliminal advertisement. However, I do not believe Nintendo was the one to officially release the screens to the public in GameInformer. It was Ubisoft Paris who leaked the screens. However, it could also be considered that Nintendo had to agree to leak the screens. Xino, the image was used for decoration, not critical commentary. Since it was licensed under Fair Use, it should not be used on this page: it does not add significantly to the article, nor does it constitute the least amount of fair use images necessary for the article, each of which are dictated by Wikipedia's Fair Use Policy. Plot

The plot written is wrong. Dark Samus isn't going to different planet to corrupt it with Phazon. Dark Samus is actually following the Space Pirates and trials of Phazon in certain planets. Why is Dark Samus doing that? To life ofcousre and gain advance powers. Each time she absorb some phazon into her, she gain more abilities.

I have edited one word on this page

I know it's not that important, but I've changed the word "Gun" to "Arm Cannon". It is the official name of the weapon, after all.

But since some people don't know that, I'm aware that you may have purpously used the word "Gun" instead of "Arm Cannon", so people get an easier idea to what they are talking about (the big weapon attached to the Power Suit's "side.")

Somebody having trouble counting?

Ridley

Although Ridley is one of the antagonist in the Metroid series, I have to say, he is by far the coolest character on the game. Second only to Samus.

I don't know why this article is mentioning how to play this game with the Wii remot!? If it's explaining that, then it should go to a cheat website of GameFaQs. To explain how to play it, it is best to use "jump". "fire" "duck". Instead of saying "B", "Z" ect

Metroid Prime 3 will be a launch title, therefore it is one of the first games to use the revolutionary new controller. This control scheme should be documented, as it is a major part of the game and is totally new. It is relevant. More relevant than GameFAQs would be in the context of this article. Sylux hates the Feds, and he'd probably do something as low as joining the Pirates
Noxus and Rundus are both Vhozon (okay, I'm just guessing about the Rundus part, but he does kinda look like one), and might make a darn good team
Trace wouldn't care. He's done his job for the Krikens
Spire wouldn't care either. There's no long lost race...yet
Kanden would just kill everybody. Not really good for the plot to have a mass murderer
Weavel is a Pirate, and has the longest history with Samus of the six

There is a possibility of the hunters appearing in "Corruption" but it is not confirmed. They have not appeared in any other game to date, just Metroid Prime Hunters. -MF14

Planets/Areas

Should or shouldn't we start an areas page for MP3C? We already know two places in the game; planet Hydra/Phaza(not sure of name) and Sector Zero Base(shown in the game demo). Or does the areas belong in Areas in the Metroid series?-MF14

Trilogy?

Should the Metroid Prime series be counted as a trilogy? MP3 can't be the conclusion to a trilogy if you count Hunters. Sure, it's the end to the Phason storyline, but not to a trilogy.

Your right when you say that if you include MPH, it is not a trilogy, but it seems to have no connection to the other games, and Phazon. It seems to me that the the 'prime' in Metroid Prime Hunters is just saying its in first person. Anyways, Nintendo has already stated that metroid prime 3 finishes the trilogy. Metroid Prime Hunters is a bit of a spinoff game. Metroid Prime is indeed considered a trilogy. Plenty of trilogies have more than four games, but only have three main ones. Look at the Prince of Persia trilogy. It had Battles of Prince of Persia, but was still considered a trilogy. Same with the Jak trilogy and Jak X. --Gaming King 08:59, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

A few things: Do we know for certain that the second picture is a hunter? Why are we calling the purple woman a "phazon lady" when there is nothing to suggest she's made of phazon no matter how many random fans theorize so (this doesn't just apply to the image)? Yes, the second is a hunter, as he is shown with the other hunters when they ae all together, plus he gets corrupted, like th others. The Phazon Lady should DEFINETLEY be emained; she purple, not blue or red. Not Phazon. As for 2 pics, its not neccesay but these no problem with it. and yes, the attack of lightining is what corrupts the hunters. (11987 21:51, 11 July 2006 (UTC))

Okay, I changed the wording on the Phazon Lady, but I still left it in there. Let's face it, people; most people only know her as "Phazon Lady", regardless of how she appears. Rock hunter?

I was wondering if anybody might have a picture of the "rock hunter" mentioned in the article. I want to see more about it, as the description that I have read seems to suggest the possibility that it is a Diamont. No, not neccesarily Spire, just a Diamont. The Diamonts are made of rock, and Spire, at least, has orange objects that resemble crystals embedded in his body, one of which is in his chest.

I believe the Hunter in question may be viewed at Youtbe; it is the demo's introduction. However, it does seem to hold a morph ball in its chest; because of this some have speculated that i can be controlled by morph bal. However, I would like to say that it looks nothing like a Diamont; unless all rock based creatures are Diamonts, it is probably not one due to body structure, color, and is totally different in looks. Speech continuity error

I note that the article states that no past Metroid games have had spoken story or dialog. This is technically true, though the beginning history to Super Metroid had spoken historical, introductory text. It wasn't dialog, per se, but it's still worthy of note. Someone linked to an online retailer selling preorders. On the page, the retailer expected to begin shipping the game on March 30, but that's not usually a reliable indicator, and certainly not a confirmed release date. --Herald Alberich 01:02, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Why the images were deleted

Continuity error

If the suit's apperance is linked to Samus's DNA, why didn't the phazon mutation cause a permanent change? unless this happens after Metroid fusion, wich I think is highly unlikely. It's gonna have multiplayer

I'm sure it will have some sort of multiplayer. After hunters I think no 3D metroid should be without it. Of course Prime 2 had multiplayer that seemed to be tacked on for no reason. And it's kind of boring having 4 Samus's running and gunning. But thats just my opinion. Who knows, it could have co-op or something, that would be fun. User:zabbethx

It may be a possibility. Even though we never heard her talk, she did have dialogue in past Metroid games, so she might be given a voice. Release Date

According to IGN, the release date for Japan is scheduled for December 31, 2007 [3]

I just looked at your link and they are also giving it a $60 price tag. Nintendo has repeatedly said that none of there games would cost over $50. So I think there realease date may be a random guess if they managed to get the price wrong. zabbethx Jan. 24 2007

Also, December 31 is a very unlikely release date for a very hyped game. Also, after the annoyingly repeated delays of MPH, I doubt Nintendo will heavily delay yet another Prime game. I don't think that it will stop from delaying it. Just look at twilight princess. They kept saying we would get it soon and it took 2 years. But the end product was well worth the wait. Noone has the best idea when it will come out. Recently online it's been stated it could be realeased as late as Fall 2007. Also there are different sides of people debating whether it'll be released in early Spring or Summer. Can't we just have it Unknown or TBA until the date is official. Trivia Section

I cleaned up the trivia section a little. Moved the multiplayer bit to the GamePlay section, and put the two bullets about the graphics into one. I didn't remove the Too Much Trivia tag, though, I wanted someone else to check it first.
