Weather delays are trvia

Every tournament experiences them. They are only notable if

1 Players or spectators are injured or killed. 1991 US Open or 1991 PGA. Oh and those articles don't make mention of those incidents either.

Sometimes this will be notable also

2 The tournament is forced to finish on Monday or the tournament is shortened to less than 72 holes.

The first has never happened at Memorial as well as I know. The later happened in 1977 and 1990.

Weather delays are trivial and not notable otherwise. Why this article contained a weather section rather than than memorable events like

1 Roger Maltbie hitting it off a gallery stake in a playoff

2 Kenny Perry's first PGA Tour win

3 Paul Azinger birdieing from the sand trap to win

4 Tiger Woods winning the tournament three years in a row

5 Bart Bryant getting it up and down from a hazard on the 72nd hole to win by one

To name a few

Weather is in and those are left out and it is frankly ridiculous. Especially with the amount of attention this article has gotten since the first weather edit was made in June 2007[1]. I wiped out the weather section and began a tournament highlights section.-William 23:03, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
