The torii is made from Hinoki (a kind of cypress) of Arisan, ("Ariyama"), Taiwan. In fact, all the major oteras and jinjyas in Japan used hinoki from Taiwan.

Meji shrine[edit]

Meiji Shrine (明治神宮, Meiji Jingū), is a Shinto shrine in Shibuya, Tokyo, that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shōken.[1][2] The shrine does not contain the emperor's grave, which is located at Fushimi-momoyama, south of Kyoto. 103.184.92.134 (talk) 18:15, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
