Meenachil[edit]

I just noticed that there is already an article Meenachil, which discusses the river. I don't know if the articles should link to each other or be merged. — Pekinensis 19:22, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It is better if they are linked. The situation is more or less analogous to Congo. There is a land and there is a river,

Please use diacritical fonts[edit]

I earnestly request those who know Malayalam and the actual pronunciation of the river names and other proper names to use diacritical fonts to indicate the length of teh vowels and the quality of the consonants (retroflex n vs. dental n etc). This will help researchers like me who need the precise sounds to investigate the etymology of river names.
