get the "additional documentation", & no such thing as a "Nationally Significant Historic Landmark" tho[edit]

It seems that the 2022 revision to documentation of this building was sort of a big deal, and that it included determination that the place is of national rather than merely local significance. Because there are two or more news articles asserting it being a big deal, based on the journalists hearing from the director of the place or whomever else they cite. And the director or whomever are perhaps/probably right that the official change of description/documentation of the place is a big thing. They certainly want to make out that it is, anyhow, and I don't oppose that.

However, there is not a proper noun "Nationally Significant Historic Landmark" though, that is not a thing, despite one or both of the journalists believing it to be one. I am saying this as one of many long-experienced editors of articles on places listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), who often chat at wt:NRHP (where anyone interested can post). The proper terminology is that the place was listed on the NRHP in 1973, and that revised/additional documentation was filed and accepted by the National Park Service (NPS)-administered NRHP program in 2022. Most NRHP listings are identified to be of local importance; this one was apparently upgraded in 2022 to be of national importance, and will be listed that way in the NPS's database.

It would really help this article if someone would get a copy of the new documentation, because the two news articles really don't explain very much, and it would be interesting to learn what history has been researched and found to be so important about the place. I looked for it, but the 2022 documentation is not available online, neither at the NPS nor at NARA. It can be obtained, for free, though, by email request to nr_reference at nps.gov (per instructions at wp:NRHPHELP. They will send an e-copy by email or a hard copy by postal mail. I leave it to editors more interested in this place than me, to obtain that and develop the article better with its information.
