Beelick Knob Reference[edit]

I believe that the following is in error: "Historically, the town was also known as Beelick Knob, a coal mining operation."

I have an article attributed as a 1946 item in the Raleigh Register(Beckley, WV) newspaper that relates the history of Meadow Bridge. There is no mention of the town ever being called Beelick Knob. Beelick Knob is in fact an area just north of Meadow Bridge High School that includes residences and coal mining operations. I will be glad to insert information from that article.

For reference, I am a 1958 graduate of MBHS.
