Twin-scroll turbochargers[edit]

It should be mentioned that it has twin-scroll turbos like the Ferrari 488 GTB/Spyder which reduce the turbo-lag practically to non-existence. --Felix Tritschler (talk) 18:15, 12 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source regarding this? U1Quattro (talk) 13:44, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I found some sources talking about the twin scrolls here [1] and here [2], it might be a bit hyperbolic to say that it entirely eliminates lag, but it definitely has twin scrolls. Toasted Meter (talk) 17:53, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

9.7s quarter mile[edit]

It says citation needed for this. Here's a video just released pulling that exact thing off, stock (except tires): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXgqn3zKB28 And his exact stats and specs for the run: http://www.dragtimes.com/McLaren-720S-Timeslip-30320.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muskar (talkcontribs) 21:07, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Revision of 0-200 km/h and 1/4-mile times[edit]

There is a guy/gal/person out there who is making claims that McLaren's new 7.0 and 9.9 times (to 124 mph and the 1/4-mile) are "guesses by a journalist." In fact, not only has McLaren stated the times, but nearly every magazine jumped off the cliff.

The 7.2 and 10.0 were preliminary figures.

Infobox[edit]

I want to propose a revert of the image used on the infobox. The previous one got replaced back in May and I disagree with the change, although the current one has no reflection and has a good angle, it looks less sharp compared to the previous one taken by me. Thoughts? --Vauxford (talk) 20:26, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think yours is better, the lines really stand out. Toasted Meter (talk) 21:17, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think the white one looks better: It has less reflections and isn't as dark. Best regards, --Johannes (Talk) (Contribs) (Articles) 11:43, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How does the Mc720s have Dihedral doors?[edit]

The term "Dihedral" refers to Dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors which are patented by Koenigsegg and therefore cannot be legally used in other cars to prevent copyright infringement. The McLaren has Butterfly doors, right? I am pretty sure Dihedral is not a synonym for Butterfly doors. Need your opinions because many other cars such as the P1, Senna, Speedtail and many many many more articles also have the same issue. Thank you - Call me Karthik 😉🤞 (talkcontribs)

Please refer this article for more explanation regarding what I wanted to convey. - Call me Karthik 😉🤞 (talkcontribs)

I agree. The doors on the 720S are butterfly doors not dihedral. Expandinglight5 (talk) 05:06, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Performance stats: McLaren 765LT.[edit]

I once wanted to quotes times recorded by the YouTube channel drag times and I was told that it wasn't reliable yet now when I was in the Rimac Nevera page someone added something similar to what I had in mind. Quoting the times from drag times asoat times he does it on stock tyres and if not you are told as to which tyres are being used.

McLaren say the 765lt does 0-60mph in about 2.8s, but in the video it consistentry rides around 1.9s region BryanSwarvorski21 (talk) 01:07, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
